- Information provided directly: name, email address, photos, catch details (lake, weight, lure, story), account credentials, and payment information (processed by our payment processor, not stored directly by us).
- Information collected automatically: basic site usage data (e.g., pages visited), which may be collected via standard analytics tools.
- Age information: collected specifically to determine whether children's privacy protections apply (see Section 5).
2. How Information Is Used
Collected information is used to: operate accounts and the Locker; consider and produce card submissions; process purchases and subscriptions; communicate with users about submissions, orders, or accounts; and improve the site.
3. How Information Is Shared
Personal information is not sold. It is shared only with: service providers who help operate the business (our payment processor for purchases, our card printer for fulfillment of physical products, email service providers for account communications); and as required by law.
4. Data Retention
Personal information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the services described above, or as required by law.
5. Children's Privacy (Notice to Parents)
Big Uns Trading Cards is a general-audience site, not primarily directed at children, and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If a child under 13 wishes to submit a catch, a parent or guardian must complete the submission using the parent's own name and contact information — we do not collect the child's information directly, and any resulting account belongs to the parent, not the child. Parents may contact us at any time to review, request deletion of, or ask questions about information submitted on behalf of their child, using the contact information in Section 10.
For the parent/guardian catch submission process, review our Parental Consent Form and Notice for the information collected, service providers, permitted uses, and parental rights. Signed forms are stored privately and reviewed before child catch information is accepted.
Unused consent requests expire after 30 days and are deleted within 7 additional days. Declined or unselected child submissions are deleted within 90 days of the decision. Selected catch content is retained while its card-story page is active, then deleted within 90 days. Signed consent records are retained during authorized use plus 3 years. Deleted information ages out of backups within 90 days.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make such a request, contact us using the information in Section 10.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Cookies
The site may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page.
